I also think the best players are Dominic Dale and Andy Hicks not to break into the 16 Andy Hicks semi finals of the world, UK and Masters all in the space of 1 year as well, and dominic Dale excellent achievent winning two ranking events in a space of 10 years without getting in the 16 and he's never played t the Masters either. He still as a chance this season just needs some good results for the rest of the season and he could do itRonnie O' Sullivan seven times the record breaking Snooker Master

Here are the players who have been provisional top-16 at any point since the start of the 2002-03 season, without actually getting to the official top-16 (although they may have been previous top-16ers). Their highest provisional position is shown.
Tony Drago (16 after the 2004 European Open)
Gerard Greene (14 after 2003 UK)
Barry Pinches (14 start of 04-05)
Mark King (8 after 2005 Welsh)
Robert Milkins (16 start of 05-06)
Stuart Bingham (15 start of 06-07)
Jamie Cope (15 after 2006 Grand Prix)
Dominic Dale (15 after 2007 Northern Ireland)
