My vote goes to Andy Hicks. As people have already alluded to, Hicks was awesome in 1995, particularly at Sheffield.
Also, what hasn't been mentioned is at the 2004 world championship when Ronnie O'Sullivan hammered Anthony Hamilton 13-3, Stephen Hendry 17-4 and Graeme Dott 18-8, and to most people looked simply unbeatable, Andy Hicks extended him to 13-11 in the second round and to be honest could have beaten him.
