  • Opening a snooker club?

    Hi,

    Is opening a snooker club a business that can help me to survive, is it a profitable business if opens in a city area? any suggestions?

      gotta agree with ADR, its not a good business venture these days. Many clubs are suffering and quite a few closing mainly due to the smoking ban and a lack of interest in the game.

        agree with the replies.

        not a great idea, unless youre lucky

        best idea id say is to put 9 abll and english pool tables in as well as snooker, and call it a cuesport related name, and also run things like poker and darts leagues / comps on the premises to try to ensure flow of business

                It depends on where you set it up!

                Snooker is a declining business everwhere except in China. Most top players are playing 9balls nowadays. Go to a snooker or billiard pro shop and talk to the salepersons there to do a mini marketing research. They knows more than you can expect.

                In China, it is a different story. People there will joint any "pretigious" club just to show off and to get connections for business. M. Fu has some influence as well.
