  • Ronnie O´Sullivans shot time

I have the impression that Ronnie O´Sullivan has slowed down in the later years, especially when there isn´t anything obvious on. His breakbuilding is still very fast, but in the other departments he seems to have slowed down. Do any of you know of any statistics on this subject ?

within limits Wild ... I must confess that at the end of the Crucible, with one hour ahead, and working every day (including the Monday of the final) ... I fell asleep before the very end a a certain final

On topic: yes he has slowed down ... and changed his style: more safety overall.

All aspect of the game ..even the boring ones ? No thank you; and being labeled as a snooker fan (or not) is not one of my highest priorities.
Entertaining attacking or entertaining defensive play is ok for me.

I don't know so much. A friend of mine playing in a league game in the Hamilton league fell asleep in the middle of a shot. It's not that he suffered from Narcolepsy, he was just so very very drunk.

Ronnie is actually quite a slow player apart from when he is in the balls and everything is open. they should change his name from 'The Rocket' to 'The Milk Float'! Okay maybe a slight exaggeration but you get my drift.

He slowed down a lot after working with Ray Reardon as Ray wanted him to work more on the safty and not take on the needless risky shots.........I think Ronnie forgot about that at the weekend when taking on that Double.....Ray wouldnt have been happy !

ronnie may have looked 'slower' in recent competition because of the players and there 'style' of play for example his shot time against selby was slow becauseof the nature selby plays and how the match unfolded, i think ronnie is still as ast and fluent as he's always been, he maybe takes a safer shot selection than he used to but he is still fast.

Drago is too fast for his own good
