    What do you think.

    Under pressure

Higgins' blue into green pocket with screw and left hand side to come back for reds. (v White, Embassy semi '82).

    Flair

White's pink into green pocket with screw and right hand side for position on black. (v Stevens, B & H semi, '84).

Just for fun, with regards to the second example, White's banana shot, for a couple of years after he played that shot, so maybe '85/'86, the BBC used this shot for it's opening titles for the late evening highlight show during coverage of the B & H Masters.
The shot was slowed and the white ball was tracked to show the bend created by the extreme backspin applied, all put to music.
    Quite something.

Yip it's got to be White's shot for me, although there was no pressure on him at that stage of the frame / match.

      Hey Guinness,

...both good pots, and both 'great' players, and screw/side is one of my favourite practice drills, although in this instance, I'd have to go for Higgy as it's a pressure pot, not easy.

Equally, with Jim's banana pot, 'classy', and agree good to see in slow motion, I haven't seen it, and don't suppose it's on you tube?

And it would be good as well on televised tourneys if they showed more shots in slow motion, tracking the white's path, and showing the 'impact' on the object ball, close up. I'd also be interested in seeing masse, plus extreme swerve movement, and stun, plus stun run through, awesome.

Ah well, we can live in hope..

      Lol....xx

              Hello Blondie,

Jimmy's pink is on You Tube, not in slo-mo but unbeleiveably impressive none the less.

Not sure about posting links, but type...Jimmy White super screw shots...there it is.

              Cheers,

Perrie Mans' long pink in the '78 World Final against Reardon takes some licking!! To screw the length of the table back for the black as well. Talked about for years after as the best shot ever on television.

                      Hey T,

...hadn't seen this, and thanks for sharing, lovely close-ups of cue tip action, plus contact/impact on yellow, then hammering the white. Great to see in slow motion.

if were talking snooker pots, i wouldnt say any shot where the frame already meant nothing would get close to my top shot
