OK, he finished the year 16th, but with Murphy winning the title that means Ian is out. But with Ronnie and maybe Paul Hunter missing the year does that mean Ian will be seeded, as a substitude to Ronnie?

1987 clause:- dress code

Under amendment 14c, 1987 clause, any player competing more than four matches wearing sports tweed or 'fashion check' with an ostentatious, 'rococo' disregard for the games etiquette protocol will be barred from the gentlemans lounge and therefore inelligible to compete as a top sixteen in proffesional billiards.As a consequence of this callous, flagrant breach of gentlemanly conduct all sherry priveledges and courtesan services shall be revoked until such time the player concerned can demonstrate ( by way of a large charitable donation to the local gentlemans society ) an abhorance of the afore mentioned sports check.
