I have space for a 9 or 10 feet table, but the problem is that I can't get a snooker table here in Macedonia, well second hand anyway. Buying a new one would cost me a fortune

my inlaws have a 3/4 size table in their house, alas its not the same as a full size but its great to knock a few balls about whilst the missus is having a natter!
If house prices weren’t so ridiculous I would be looking for a new house with a big enough room
Playing in the club is great but I would love a table at for solo practice. I never really practice on my own which means I never do line up or any other exercise because I always play full games. This is probably the reason why I’m rubbish. There’s also the cost issue, I must of spent at least £300 in the last year alone at my local club and this makes me want my own table even more.

U should deffenitly start playing alone. Its a more relaxed play and ur always next to play a shot
I was lucky enough to move at the end of last year from a mid-terrace to a detatched with a basement which came complete with a 3/4 size table. Hadn't played for ten years or so but am loving it, highest break so far is only 27 though! Could do with being re-covered and cushioned, hopefully will get it done next year. Has anyone got an idea how much that would cost?

i have just fixed the date with builder today for him to start work on a extension for my snooker room, "7th july" i cant wait
i have loads of room length wise but the width might be a touch cramped at 4.35 mtrs but i will get a smaller cue if its a problem cueing when the balls up against the cushion.
Its all about finding the right table now im sick of looking on the internet already
loads of choices and do i go new or off ebay or what, but im not complaining as its my dream at last turning into reality.
It would be great to hear anyone elses experiences of picking a table or any thing else relating to getting a snooker table

could be very cramped sideways if its a full size table you are thinking of
using a smaller cue is a good stand in, but it wont be much practise, and you wont get to walk into your stance on quite a lot of shots near the side cushion
It will be a full size table and i play more billiards than snooker its not too often you play from the side cushions in billiards, but i think with a 52 inch cue i should be ok ( i know a good cue maker so i can get a good quality cue made any size)
