Yes you're right about this Watford, if you manage to pot them both it's all good which I love as it's a great weapon if you can do it. However if you are totally snookered it is a re-rack, so it's fine if you're ball is at the front, but if your ball is totally hidden behind the other with no way to get to it...

Hmmm tough though you of course put the player "back in" in the amateur game so it's difficult. In practice I suppose you'd whack the brown and take the foul?????
Some of my clubmates apply the miss rule even in practise. They say you get used to the miss rule and don't have to change your tactics when in a tournament.
@archalf1471
I'd prefer it if the rule would be applied in all tournaments. So people would learn that it exists. The correct interpretation is another issueAt our ladies league it always happens that I have discussions with the players because they have no idea what the miss rule is all about. One was even offended when I insisted that the balls would be replaced after a miss. And this was at our regional ladies championship...

So you don't call it the "Skill shot" then?we don't call it a skill shot no, and most people don't like the fact that you can do it at all (fudgin hoors) lol. It's an apt name, and it's the players with only tactics and no skill that don't like it.
