  • Table question

    Hi there.
I chosen to post my topic here as it is a much more active section than the equipment forum.
I haven't seen one before but was wondering if anyone knew of a none slate bed 12 foot snooker table?
I have the room for a table but i'd rather have something that could be removed easily, and not put any pressure on my domestic floorboards (table will be upstairs)
    cheers

A full size table without a slate bed?

I'm pretty sure such a thing doesn't exist, so it would have to be slate and about 1300kg of it.

This is a thread about the subject:

Slate remains the only viable option for now!

You could think about strengthening the floor, getting an engineer in would find out if it's possible and what would need done.

About removing easily...that's not an option. It takes hours and 4 or 5 guys to install or remove a table and staircases will be particularly hard to negotiate!

    Good luck with it.

      Oh right, thanks!
I was thinking though, if they can make a none slate 6x3 table i dont see why they could do it with a 12 x 6.
a possible gap in the market perhaps?

I think I can safely say that such a table would play apsolutely terribly.
