Hi, im after a snooker waistcoat (hopefully blue) for an upcoming tournament, ive been looking around town, on websites, asking ppl and still no luck i just cant find anywere that sells decent plain waistcoats. If any of u know of a decent website or shop for snooker waistcoats i will be more than gr8ful Thnx in advance

is an option Nat, but they sell em for about the same price too; £29.99. I was gonna suggest John Lewis first as they normal stock a large selection if the top end of the quality scale.

Dressing up for a tournament eh - go for it tigger; sorry tiger.

By the way, the lady in the store said that while she couldn't offer a discount on just the waistcoat, she said she could do a deal on a full outfit. (pic of what you get'd be noyce nat... and the result!)

The tournament is the pontins under 21's challenge series. I believe im 27th at the min, in the rankings. The next 1 is on the 16th i think, so i am really looking forward 2 it

well done nat; I enjoyed it up there a few years ago, won a campers' type event (with a broom handle looking thing) and got to quarter finals in Prestatyn before the cold I got made me unfit to play - 2 frames and 40+ up with 3 reds left in the 'last frame' - PAH. would have been great to play on the single embassy table in the main hall in front of a few hundred people; natty red leather Jimmy Saville looking chairs too.

Enjoy the event and suck up any confidence you can draw from anything we've said in the forum - pity I can't email the Hypnotic snooker tape of Paul McKenna I've just rediscovered! Having said that, there'd be copyright issues I guess, and that's a sore point round these parts!

Do u think that pontins has got the best under 21 kids in the country there? Because everytime i go it seems really hard, i mean if some1 knocks in 50+ every frame against u its difficult to keep up ure confidence. I wish that i could play my best everytime i went to these comps. BTW ever heard of Jamie cope? he goes into the same club as me, and i frequently play him, he just went and got a piggin 155 against david fomm-ward!

Only info I got from following Global's biog hyperlink to look at the great info that's supplied and from the Irish event where a young lad's getting a 139 clearance - so it's secondhand stats and pictures I can only go on; I can feel some envy at you cutting your teeth in such vaulted company, even if they're only youngsters, they're bringing the game forward it sounds.

It's encouraging that you feel out of your depth, you're just realising you need to keep trying and don't let yourself be too battered down. Realise that you always need to practice and find new ways to improve and then be self-aware enough to know that you are improving if you're matering the art.

When I did a google on your club, it brought up a 16 red clearance of 151 2 years ago by Cope - great effort, if you play against this guy, then you can only treat it as a sort of apprenticeship that at some point you're gonna be able to compete against him if you reach somewhere near his standard. If he's now gone and got another 16 red clearance against the same bloke; imagine what he feels like! At least he gets a mention on http://www.snooker.org/plr/records.shtml !

I guess someone else'll be able to gauge the standard at Pontins better than me; feel like I'd want a start against them no matter how small they are!!!

Hi Nat5Guns have you tried silkroadbridal? its an Ebay shop. They do custom coloured waistcoats for £29.99. Also theres another shop on there called jakesclothigltd. They do waistcoats for about £12.50!!! These are standard black with a shiny black back. Hope this helps.
