mate maybee murphy can win 2 or 3 but equally maguire could or Ronnie Could maybee Selby....who knows ding might come to the fore..god hope hendry can win something(wont be holding my breath lol)..Ryan Day is due success...Ali Carter might build pn his world success and win something....

point is theres as much chance of murphy to dominate as there is of him not and strugling ...theres so much good players on a par with Murphy we just dont know ....

My guess is that the top 4 will dominate again next year. Maybe also a title for Ding and Fu, and I don´t think we shall write off John Higgins. I don´t think we will see Hendry at the end stage of a larger tournament again.

And if Mark King can find the play from the Selby match again for a whole tournament, he could maybe make a big surprise.

only fools wright off stephen Hendry........yes he isnt the player he was but he is more than capable of beating great players if he gets some confidence whitch is missing from his breakbuilding at the moment...

I dont understand how you can say that after his obvious improvement up to the w/c semis. Provided he can carry on from where he left off before Ronnie slaughtered him, he will be in with as much chance as any other player ranked 5-16.

If he does meet one of the top 3 or 4 players in full flight again though that may still be too much for him.

First of all, I want to make clear, that this is just my opinion on the next and coming seasons, as I see Hendry as the all time best player, lightyears ahead of anyone else. Still I´m not convinced that he will get to final stages in the big tournaments again. In this season we have seen him struggle the most of the time, and when he got his game together he fell against the best players in the season. I think it was Welsh Open (?) he was up against Selby and lost, and obviously also at the WC. He played some solid snooker at the cruicible, but both Ding and Day underperformed by my opinion, and even getting to a semifinal couldn´t lift his game to the old standard. OK O´Sullivan was good, but Hendry of the past wouldn´t have lost all 8 frames and would have been at least two frames up after first session.

Basicly I think that he on an overall downhill slide, but I would love it, if he proved that I was wrong. I hope this will clearify my statement yesterday.
