Yes, Thurstons made a table 14ft for a client in Buenos Aries in 1825 and two 15ft tables were sent to Mexico in both 1839 and 1841. These were wooden bed tables and no explanation was given why these sizes were requested.
I can`t find why 12ft tables became the norm, but I do have the info somewhere and when I find it I`ll post it.
