Does BBC air HD snooker?

The recent World Series of Snooker from Jersey was aired in HD, on the newly started Eurosport HD channel. The picture quality was, naturally, better than anything I've seen before, and also it was the first time Eurosport aired snooker in 16:9.

I was wondering if the BBC events are covered in HD? If so, I believe Eurosport HD will show them and that is good news for snooker fans around Europe!

BBC shows almost everything on it's HD channel.

I should think it won't be long before snooker joins in.
