stamford cases or cheddar classic cases

I'm thinking of buying a new case. but I don't know which case is better. because stamford, have more styles, but cheddar have better prices. Also I don't know who's a better brand eaither. If anyone have any idea's please let me know. cheers ned

Cheddar Classics are now in Thailand. I don't have any of the cases you mention but I know from people's views that both are very good companies, Cheddar Classics cases have been used by every World Snooker Champion since 1978. They are very expensive though. Stamford are a little cheaper I think and seem to be very well made.

Crispin Jones on this forum makes good cases, I think that is his name.

It is just what you want from the design and the prices really.

yes i agree crispian makes quality cases and whatever design you like heres a pic of mine ita a one piece which holds 2 cues

Kevin Kelly Jimmy White's Manager tryed to sell me Jimmy's case for £5000 last week!!!.......it was a Stamford case....very nice case..but i declined his kind offer....sure you can get one from Stamford for cheaper than that......

you wouldn't go wrong with any of the listed. Crispian would be my choice though DESPITE being welsh. top bloke top work can't be faulted

if you can find an old cheddar it would be worth buying. but i don't know about one of them now they're are based in thailand. quality control will not be as good me thinks if dave J-A is not making them himself and are maybe being made on the cheap.

I would go for North Wales cases - i own one and its top case. Crispian is top of a guy

DJA does make the cases, so quality is not an issue. try using the search facility on here and you will find this topic was addressed in a recent thread which DJA answered personally

Yes DJH Does make them, I have ordered a case from him, and we have had a discussion of what he can do for me, and he will try to make the case to your requirements the best he can.

I looked into getting a Stamford Case but the waiting is 13 weeks.

DJH sent mine last week, and only took 4 weeks to make it.

The Same Case from Stamford was £190 + 8.50 for your name on it.

Cheddar Classics was £210 with Name on it.

You can also get the Peradon leather cases which are a copy of these cases.
