  • Instructional books

    Hi all,

Lurked on this forum a few times. First time posting... I am a poolplayer who's trying to expand my knowledge of cue games. I know something of snooker and have watched matches on tape. But I am now looking for an instructional book for snooker players.

I did a search on the internet for one, and found that most snooker books out there are a little too introductory. I guess it's fair to say I'm looking for something beyond introductory, although if introductory aspects of the game are also discussed, all the merrier.

What do you guys think? Is there a book that really impressed you that you'd recommend?

    Thanks a lot.

Thanks a lot, Sonny. I'll take a look and try to get it soon. I live in the U.S. which probably means getting it online. No problem... I'm excited!

Don't get too excited, it won't be that easy to find! I've got my copy under lock and key (metaphorically)

you're looking for instructional books, try http://uzhis.homeip.net:8080

There are a couple of old classics on there so far:

How I Play Snooker (Joe Davis)
How to Play Snooker (Rex Williams) (similar to his previous book on "How to Become a Champion).

I understand there may be more to follow...
