I recently brought some snooker balls sized 2 1/16 and thought they were full sized. However when i went to my club recently i realised the ball sizes there were smaller, so what is the actual size used? needless to say my game sucked as i'd been practicing at home on a full size pool table with these balls.

good to hear from you kick-a-licious.....
looking at my Rule Book from '95, the balls should be, "52.5mm with a tolerance of +/- 0.05mm", so that's equivalent to your 2 1/16 inches.

cheers mate, all problems cleared. yea just noticed that at the club i go to in Derby the balls are noticably smaller than the regulation size, on all tables. this is annoying as i practice all week with normal size balls and play at the club with smaller balls so my game is thrown way off.
i only worry so much as my ambition is to play league snooker at the club and adjusting to smaller balls is awkward and drastically affects my game.
