  • Rocket's shot identical with Eugene Hughes

Everyone remember Ronnie's amazing shot from WC 2008 when he was snookered behind the green (seminfinal against Hendry)

    I found this shot:

    Quite identical, right?

Yes, good find. Those '1980's Best Ever Snooker Classic Shots, Flukes, Songs' videos are pretty good, some awesome shots in there.

It is actually a standard escape when there's the whole side of the pack to rest on. Six inches from the pocket, as played there, or twelve if behind the yellow (reversed of course if playing right-hand cushion first), it's then just a question of judging the side correctly.

Yes, of course it is a standard escape but the hard thing is to get the best result as possible. Ronnie and Eugene got very good result on their shots.

I agree with Statman and ADR, i guess the shot is almost a trick shot in some ways - it looks very impressive, but once you know how to do it, its probably something almost anyone could do....

The Neil Robertson shot with all that "stuff on the white" however is absolutely blinding; up ther with the kirk stevens/jimmy white/alex higgins spectaculars. I dont think there's too many players that could play a shot like that....
