Hi all, Incase you missd my welcome thread I'm Chris...and New to this forum. Apologies if this is a repeat thread i'm sure you've seen tons of these but here it goes...
I have been playing snooker for a bit but only after golf and never really that serious. But I would like to spend a bit more time playing and possibly play in some competitions.
I have had a couple of breaks in the mid 30s without ever really practicing atal.
My GF was kind enough to get me a nice Riley Cue as part of my Christmas present...it's cheap and cheerful but it feels nicer than any other cues I have used before.
A mate who plays a lot in the local area and has several UK University titles reckons I should play in the upcoming Local Open but I am unsure because I will probably get a drubbing lol.
I play mostly at my local golf club who have a team that consists of mostly older guys but would like to play more and maybe get some league matches in!
Anyways to the point of the thread...Have you any tips...Maybe about my Cue? Should I be changing the standard (very hard) tip or maybe some advice on how you got to be competitive in local events or made your way onto the local team?
Thanks!
