I think cueman has got it spot on Khizzy breaks are not the be all or end all it is about the all round game.

But i'd like to say i watched Joe Jogia play in a pro-am in Bradford the other day and he made 4 centuries in 5 frames with one of them being a 147. Thats a pretty high standard for someone whos struggling to make a living in the game.

By the way Craig Steadman won the the event.

Saying that though theres nothing wrong with following your dreams and your only here once so enjoy it. You obviously love the game.

    Best of luck to you.

Wow, since when did Joe find that kind of form! That in itself is proof if ever you wanted it of how tough it is. Jogia was knocked off the MT last season despite being a very good player on his day. However he has found it tough on the PIOS this season despite having a lot of experience having played on the MT for a few years!

Good stuff only about 30 minutes from me, although I'm not gonna spend my afternoon picking balls out while you make a 100. You'd be very much welcomed though.

                  Absolutely right

I tried it in the eighties.. best thing i ever did... i've got great memories of watching and playing some of the now greats of the game in the pro tickets at Pontins.

Like i said, best of luck to you.

I would give it a go if I was you Khizzy.

You're a qualified doctor, so if it doesn't work out, you've always got that to fall back on.

You might as well follow your dream for a year at least!

that might just be the problem,if i keep thinking that i have my medical practice to fall back on then i will not be giving it my 100%,i'll be thinking even if i lose what the heck im a doctor by profession.

but when i go for a match i want to make sure that i keep telling myself that there is no way out but to win this match.

Best of luck khizzy. I would think that if you knew you had something to fall back on then you may not feel as much pressure. You may still feel pressure as it's important, but you can play naturally without your life depending on it.

If you can afford (Both time and money!) to give it a go and in doing so you'd be realising (Even a little part of!) a dream then I cannot see any reason why you shouldn't be making plans right away!!

At least you will have lived your life without that 'what if' feeling hanging over you, I'd rather fail and have tried than be left with that feeling good luck to you sir.
