realistically you need in a club to be able to pot anything from anywhere and be able to clear up almost everytime when you get in.

If you can win in your country and play in the IBSF, and then go from there, it would be nice to see you on TV one day. Please keep us posted.
the problem down here is that there are a lot of politics involved in the game, players who go against the federation dont get too many oppurtunities.

there are too many players around the world who can make constent 70/80s. but I know that they are not even half way near the pro circuit.

but If you can make 1000 centuries in practice MATCH(not the easy setup as lineup) in your club in a year, and then I think you are capable of being a pro.

also, youve been talking about your attacking side of the game, what about your safety side of the game?

I read a story about DING JUNHUI when he first when to UK snooker acedamy, he almost lost all the matches he played against other pros because of his poor safety games(although he can clearup almost everytime when he has a chance)

and you need to be able to do it when you are under pressure,be able to hold yourself together and still play quality snooker,,,,, i remmember someone saying most of the top players get to a similar level of snooker but its the ones who can perform consistently under the pressure who make it to the very top

Besides consistency in break building you also need very sound safety game to succeed.Statisticly If you can get your potting success rate and safety above 85% and long pot success rate above 50%.Then I think You will be able to do well in PIOS tour.
                Hope that helps!

I have made 16 centuries but I know that I need to improve a lot to stand a chance even at the pro-am circuit.

What percent of the practce should be reserved for the solo practice and how much for playing with a partener? And in solo practice , how much should i do standard practice routines, and how much open table?

i think you should practice what you feel like doing, there should be a certain routine but it should also be flexible, always remember quality is way more important than quantity.

That sounds very good i think.

I would say if you have a dream, go for it, rather than kicking yourself later for not trying.

You will never know how good you are until you play with the best, right?

                          Good luck.

Go for it!!! I mean that is going to be a great experience. Even if you lose every game you will know what were your mistakes, what you need to improve and how far are you from the level required to be into the top 8. You have nothing to lose. Well except the entry fee And imagine that you do well...That is going to be a great feeling... Good luck.
You cannot improve your game if you don't have a cue and snooker table
                            BTW vucko means wolfie

That seems a very high standard fair play to you mate I wish you luck and hope you do take it as far as you can.

I think trying to turn professional these days is almost a waste of time. Fine for young kids who have time on their side to develop their game and improve. However how many players do you see come onto the MT, particularly from overseas and actually do anything in the game?

No disrespect to you but whilst you maybe knocking in big breaks, there are 100's of players over here that play to that standard but still won't be anywhere near good enough to get onto the pro tour.

If you are doing it for the experience or because you have a desire then fine but just don't get your hopes up too high of coming over thinking you will qualify. The match play standard here even in the PIOS is sometimes very similar to what you see on TV, its just the players that qualify aren't used to TV conditions so never really produce what they are capable of.

Breaks aren't the be all and end all, what experience do you have of playing against various top class players, what is your safety like, your tactics, long potting, coping under pressure?

I'm not trying to put you off but its something else to consider really.
