From what I keep hearing Trevor White must be in contention too

I said that because in my humble opinion (now, dont throw rocks at me please) I kind of feel that Unique cues are same or even a bit better than Stamford cues in terms of quality.
          Omin also seems very decent.
What do you mean they suck?
Like I am not looking to get into a fight or anything, but I have seen quite a few John Parris cues, in the 300 pounds range with the bottom of splices not even(I am not saying they are not good cues) but the Unique/Omin I have seen in that range are very nicely spliced in my opinion.
I like John Parris cues, and I have played with a few of them. They played really well. I am just talking about the workmanship in a certain price range when comparing to other cue makers.

Impossible to gauge, really its a pointless discussion. Owners of Trevor White cues will say Trevor, owners of Wooldridge cues will say his and ditto every other cue maker out there. A cue is too much a personal perference thing to be able to put it down to an individual cue makers talents. Its about listening to what the customer wants and being able to produce it, its a hit and miss thing though really despite however good they are. That's why most professionals when asking for a new cue will usually have at least 4 or 5 made up of the same dimensions as all will play that little bit differently to the next.

                  lol @ 1lawyer.

Its a very subjective (and emotive!) topic and I think its possible to draw conclusions regarding who we consider top be amongst the top cuemakers, but awarding the title of 'best' is virtually impossible.

You can start a poll you know.
I did it once and the result was quite interesting. Somehow I think if I do the same poll again the result would be quite different though. Mine only included 3 names.

Indeed Cueman everyone has their preferences. My current cue was bought for me by my mum for my birthday! Its got Steve Davis' signature printed on it and when I opened it in front of her I was thinking "Oh my GOD!!"

Having spent £100's on various cue names including parris and stamford i can honestly say this cue that probably cost my dear old mum about £30 is the best ive EVER used.

I have a Stamford and a Wooldridge, and the Wooldridge is streets ahead in terms of quality.

However, i am now dreaming of a Trevor White.

                            Hi all.

I'm in no position to review a cue makers craftsmanship at the moment, as I only have a cheap £55 Viktor cue, and a £150 Panther cue (which I want to sell if anyone is interested, pm me for specs) from Craftsmans cues which are very decent for the money.
But in this year I am going to have 2 very good cues,
first from Trevor White (in the process of ordering), then a Mike Wooldgridge some where in the second half of the year.
But what I can tell you about both these guys now is their customer service is excellent.
They both handled my queries very profesionaly and helpfuly, with Mike even throwing me an offer too, and was still very nice to me after choosing Trevor first this time round, Trevor was a bit slower in the replys (we know you're busy Trevor, please don't knock me out for saying that ) understandable, Christmas has only just finished very helpfull.
Both excellent, and pleasent people to deal with.
So I can't wait to be able to give you my views on their cues.
Heres to this year and my new to come cues
