Dr. Sloth protects his computer system from those pesky Grundos by incorporating a secret code that only he knows how to work out. Two numbers appear on his screen, and he can't log in until he types in a third number, related to the first two.
However, certain Grundo spies kept an eye on him as he entered the secret code several times. For instance, when 1 and 2 appeared on the screen, he typed in 9 to log in. When 3 and 4 appeared, he typed in 20. When 5 and 6 appeared, he typed in 12.
Finally, when it was safe to do so, a Grundo spy broke in and started up the computer. The numbers 17 and 12 appeared on the screen.
What number should the Grundo spy type in to gain access to Dr. Sloth's computer?

I have some snooker-balls and some boxes
If I put 9 balls into each box I will have two boxes left over
If I put 6 balls into each box I will have three balls left over
How many balls and how many boxes?
"Cookies without wheat, sugar, oil, or salt? You betcha! You'll need a good, strong blender like a Vita-Mix to blend the oats into a fine flour; otherwise, purchase oat flour at the health food store.
makes about 24 cookies
2 cups oats
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
4 medium overripe bananas
1/4 cup sunflower seeds
1/4 cup chopped dates
Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Line a baking sheet with parchment and spray with nonstick spray.
Use a good blender to blend the oats into fine flour. Pour the oat flour into a mixing bowl and add the baking soda and cinnamon.
Put the peeled, overripe bananas into the blender and blend until completely smooth. Add to the oat mixture along with the sunflower seeds and dates, and mix until well combined.
Use a 1-ounce cookie scoop to place spoonfuls of the cookie dough on the baking sheet.
Bake for 12 minutes. Cool cookies on a wire rack and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator."

Afraid not Berolina, Frances has introduced his/her/its new recipe into the snooker club's menu. It's called Frannie's Banana Surprise. Full recipe below:
Take a banana
Peel the banana
Eat the banana
Shoot "BOO" at the top of your voice
He/she/it never fails to giggle at that one
PS Must find out from davis_greatest what gender Frances is....
You won't be surprised to find out that bananas were involved

Of course, Frances pots 31 balls in frame 31, 32 in 32nd, 33 in 33rd and so on.
Only my break for the final frame (a genuine maximum) was accurate: poor Frances misses the black for a maxi in the 35th.
So, the overall score should remain unchanged, but the distribution needs revising.
YOU outscore Frances by 2020 to 1862, though Frances makes FOUR centuries to your THREE.
You're almost there... 4 centuries to 3 is correct, but I have a slight difference in the points distribution. I'll recheck tonight over a pint or three and post the entire table that I've created tomorrow. In the meantime let's see if anyone else comes to my exact points distribution....
Oh and it wouldn't be a maximum in frame 35 as he potted 15 pinks....
Can't work out which parts of the above are incorrect: fairly sure that you win the first 20 frames, and Frances the remaining 16.
You make 3 century breaks, in the 4th, 5th and 6th frames (respectively, with 13red/browns +colours, 12 red/pinks + colours and 12 red/blacks + colours),
Up to here all is correct

The total points score:
36 x 27 + (36 x 15) + 85 Yellows (170), 90 Greens (270), 85 Browns (340), 90 Blues (450) 85 Pinks (510) and 90 Blacks (630) = 3882.
Of these, Frances just has the mastery, outscoring you 1947 to 1935
It goes a little awry in the second half, particularly think about the break in frame 33, but your break in frame 34 is also wrong....
