OK, please put up all breaks found on the thread when ready for rounds 261, 263 and 264. abextra's 299 break for round 261 cannot be bettered - snookersfun's bids for rounds 263 and 264 can each be improved by just one point!

But I did find a 300 for R264 (or was it 263) and shall put it up whenever dinner is made, snooker is over and all that....

Round 261 - Big Ape Break Bonus Pocket Bonanza
e) Potting a colour into a pocket of the same colour as the ball (e.g. pink into pink pocket) scores triple points (in this example 3 x 6 = 18). Potting a colour into a pocket of a different colour scores a bonus equal to the value of the pocket. For example, pink into yellow pocket scores 6+2 = 8 points.

Here it is in hidden text (maybe somebody is still working on it ).

black in black (21) - green in green (9) - blue in blue (15) - pink in pink (18) -
black in blue (12) - blue in pink (11) - brown in blue (9) - pink in pink (18) -
blue in blue (15) - green in green (9) - black in black (21) - brown in brown (12) -
pink in black (13) - green in green (9) - black in black (21) = 213 points

15 red balls = 15 points

yellow in brown (6), green in black (10), brown in brown (12), blue in black (12),
pink in brown (10), black in black (21) = 71 points

in total 213+15+71=299 points

And quickly, round 265:

Barry The Baboon takes, from his enormous supply of snooker balls in his shop, some red balls (each worth 1 point) and a prime number of black balls (each worth 7 points) and displays them in his shop window. The number of balls displayed is a perfect square number, as is the total number of points.

What is the largest possible number of balls that could be on display?

Round 261: 298
Round 263: 272
Round 264: 299

Impressive, all of them, but all can be bettered!
