      • Right! Congratulations semih!

Not sure how to score that one. Think I'll split it equally among Monique (for getting first and close-ish bid in), snookersfun (for getting closer and still quick bid in), semih_sayginer for getting first bid in on target, and Stella147 for correctly copying semih's answer (and being unlucky to be just pipped to the post).

PS Wasn't the only way - another (similar) could be (5x7+6)x(3x7+1).

        Another?

Ignore that. The full point goes to April Madness for an outstanding effort, right at the end.

and since it was obviously my bestest post ever on the forum, I'll leave it (the one before) the last post on here by me!

                    • Can I have a go??

                      953 : (6x3) x ((7x7)+4) -1

                      18 x 53 - 1 = 953

sites like this make these puzzles to easy to "bend"

                        http://www.crosswordtools.com/numbers-game/

perhaps some with more than 6 balls later on

                        ?

                        • haha! Good one!

I also found one about solving the battleships, but did not want to spoil the party, cause I am a sports!

But I am convinced all solutions here are done with the utmost honesty!

im not suggesting otherwise, but varying the game would take out any doubt (in most cases)

semih, thanks for pointing out that site - hadn't seen that and, yes, it would make cheating possible. So, I can post some with more than 6 balls (or are there other sites that allow that too?)...
