R362 update - moglet and abextra have joined snookersfun in having solved this one. Next answer on the thread please. Or if none by midday tomorrow (Thursday) UK time, please would those who have found a solution put it up. (There are several possible ways of colouring the board,by the way.)

Round 364 - Magic darts
Yesterday, my pet apes decided to try some new hobbies.
Charlie has taken up sculpture and made his first piece of modern art, a cube of marble, the width of 5 snooker balls.
Gordon has taken up darts and, to encourage him to practise, I promised to give him a pack of Magic Gold Dust specks each leg, with the number of specks equalling whatever he scores with the first 9 darts of each leg.
Unfortunately, Gordon proved to be pretty good at darts, and somehow achieved a 9-dart finish (501 score) every time! By the time he had done this 100 times in a row, and I had given him 100 packs each containing 501 Magic Gold Dust specks, I decided it was getting too expensive and we had to stop.
During the night, Gordon decided to play a trick on Charlie, and secretly injected all the Magic Gold Dust at various points into Charlie sculpture, making sure each speck was at least half a snooker ball’s width below the surface, so that Charlie wouldn’t know.
However, the joke was on Gordon, because Charlie had been hiding behind his sculpture all night and had seen exactly where Gordon was injecting the Magic Gold Dust.
Prove that in the morning Charlie will be able to carve out of his marble cube a snooker ball containing at least 147 Magic Gold Dust specks.
