      its not possible. i went to my local club. cut the cloth from the table. made a few boxes of scale size, and tried it. i can post you the bits of cloth. (or stick them to my screen too)

      I can't see your screen from here, but if it's a 42" plasma screen with surround sound system, perhaps you could get it delivered, and I'll evaluate your solution?

                OK, boils down to this, toilet stays, no tiling!
                Cause, if you devide the original 64 squares into three types of sqares (in sequence), you'll have to remove one of those, that would be in a spot (and now my explanation gets confusing) with rotational symmetry (1/4 turns).

                  Um, not sure I follow where you are using rotational symmetry in this? Perhaps it would help if I rephrased the question:

                    Ok,

                    Not possible.

                    Cut the square into a 6x6 square and two rows - 8x1, 7x1

                    It is possible to arrange in a 6x6 (using 16 pieces), so we a left with rows of 7x1 and 8x1

                    By this point we have 5 pieces left.

                    We can lay down 4 more strips, and we are left with a square - 2x2.

                    Our remaining cloth is only 3x1.

                      now you are confusing me, with the bath it's square, isn't it? And what about the red door and the blue ceiling,... and anyway, I give up, can't explain it better.

                            I meant the floor area excluding where the bath is. Poetic shorthand. The whole room is 80 square feet. The bath takes up 16 square feet. The toilet takes up 1 square foot. 63 square feet left.

                            So yes, "with" or "without" the bath, depending on which way you look at it!

                                yes! Mix them all up, until you get the exact shade of green and paint the bl##dy final area, there!
