Well you potted the first red, then nominated pink. You missed it and potted a red instead. Charlie asked you to replay ... and you did t again ... until exhaustion of the stock of reds. You then finally succeeded.
You then potted all colours except black! When you tried that one you missed it and went in-off
At that point in time the referee recovered enough of the fit of giggles that prevented him to intervene (and announce any foul ...) in any understandable way, and he putted an end to the frame

    ROUND ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-THREE

I’ve just finished the most hilarious frame of snooker against my pet chimpanzee Charlie. The only shot he played in the entire frame was the break off – hahaha! I pocketed all 15 reds (but never the black)! In fact, the black didn’t move during the whole frame (actually, I never nominated black or even touched it)! Nor did I foul at any point on any of the other colours - yellow, green, brown, blue or pink – all of which I potted at the end of the frame (after having potted the 15th red, of course, followed by a pink). Oh, and I never fouled when red was the ball on either. Yet the cheeky chimp still beat me!

    How did Charlie manage that?

1 point to d_g and I think the new entrant sunny deserves 1/2 point for the three good answers and for joining us. Scoreboard to follow in a sec.

Let me try some questions as well:
    1. A player has potted a red, and on the next shot plays for a red, and pots it too. What is the outcome?

Is this a trick? What does "plays for" mean? If he pots red, and on the next shot pots a colour and plays for position on a red, which he then pots, then he has scored for all 3 balls and continues his break. But if he pots two reds in consecutive shots, it is a foul - 7 points away.

    2. With only the last 6 colours remaining, player A has fouled and left player B snookered on the yellow. So he nominates the blue as a free ball. After potting the blue, the white rolls into the yellow and knocks it in too. What is the outcome?

2 points scored - blue respotted; yellow stays down.

    3. What is the highest number of points that can theoretically be scored in a single shot?

Depends how many reds there are... is this snooker on Astronomicus? If on Earth, I'd guess 15

    4. What was Peter Ebdon's ranking after his first season as a professional player?

I don't want to remember Peter Ebdon's first season as a professional player - was that the season when he knocked Davis out of the Crucible in the first round? I think it was, sorry

    5. Which player made his second ever television appearance in 14 years as a professional in the Grand Prix 2005?

    forgotten his name

    6. In the 1972 World Championships, Alex Higgins did something no one had done before. What was it?

Wasn't that when he became the first person ever to win the 1972 World Professional Snooker Championship?

    7. Who won the high break prize of the 'B and H Masters 2001'

    Michaela Tabb
OK, not giving away too much here: but yes, two expected answers... 5 more to go...
