Does it have to do with Wimbledon? Andy Murray's advance into the last 16. 1 BST would fit, but only for the day later.....
Do they knight him the day before?

Well 24 hours without a new question!

I shall throw this one in, nothing to do with snooker!

    ROUND EIGHT

What occurs at 1 o'clock BST this afternoon (2 July), from a British perspective?

    Congratulations Lindea.

The answer is indeed that it is Shaun Murphy's journey, one way for a win, t'other for a loss (Avenue for a decider).

So here is the scoreboard after round 7:

    Pos. . . . . . . . Points . . . . . . Name
    1 . . . . . . . . . . 3 . . . . . . . . Lindea
    2 . . . . . . . . . . 2 . . . . . . . . snookersfun
    3 . . . . . . . . . . 2 . . . . . . . . Mitsuko

(a reminder that there are no tied positions – when your score increases you go directly to the top of that total.)

    ROUND EIGHT

As this quiz quickly enters its second month, July 2006. At this rate we'll have done a year by next week!

Anyone want to do round eight?

    Good thinking.

Has Doherty been in an awful lot of deciders or is it just me?

Because that match ended in a decider(9-10).

That's got to be it. But the bit that still puzzles me is why Doherty only gets an avenue .

    the player is Shaun Murphy.
the streets represent his opponents at the crucible and he turns right when he wins the match and left when he loses.

    ROUND SEVEN

A player is making a journey. This is the route he takes:

    Turns left into Hendry Street
    Turns left into Doherty Avenue
    Turns right into Small Street
    Turns right into Higgins Street
    Turns right into Davis Street
    Turns right into Ebdon Street
    Turns right into Stevens Street
    Turns right into Wattana Street
    Turns right into Davis Street
    Turns left into Ebdon Street

The question is: Who is driving, and what determines which way he turns?

Lindea, I'm sure 5 is probably possible, but I couldn't find it.

Anyone who can do a 5 over the weekend will get a bonus point!
