    • Perhaps a clue to go with abextra's half-answer: any player would have done as Claire did.

I'm not sure now... do you mean Claire put Lucy back in?

No, but the fact that Lucy had fouled is significant...

          • Well, maybe Lucy's foul was so serious that the referee awarded the frame to Claire?

I think that, with the second half of your first answer, will be enough for the point anyway... but why did the ref award the frame?

              • I guess she did something stupid before, for example struck the side cushion with her fist and was warned by the referee, and then she did it again... how should I know??? Please tell us!

When is a player most likely to forfeit a frame from a foul?

                  • Oh, did she miss three times in a row? When she could see full ball?

Congratulations, abextra! That is what happened, and is why Lucy forfeit the frame, and why Claire's next shot was the break-off in the next frame.

There are many reasons why it may have happened - for example, when Lucy played her shot, the white may have been touching the green by the baulk cushion, with the blue snookering her on the red over the pocket, and the green "Chinese snookering" her on the red near the pink. After twice attempting very thin safeties on the open red, despite her being able to hit it full ball, and missing it completely, she then miscued on the 3rd attempt as a result of being hampered by the green. The frame was duly awarded to Claire.

                          Sorry D_G !
"There has only ever been Alex Higgins, myself and now Ronnie O'sullivan who play the game the way it should be played with such excitement - I know the fans love it this way" - Jimmy White

Ronnie O'Sullivan walks out into the arena and the spectators, including me, can see that he hasnt tucked his shirt in properly. His boxers are clearly visible.

what colour were his boxers that day? (theres quite a few possible answers, but you have to guess the one i have in mind)

on second thoughts, can someone post a better 208 question please? ta

Lol, Semih, don't know much about Ronnie and your mind, but if the question was about Jan Verhaas's boxers, then I would know the answer for sure!
