                ROUND TWO HUNDRED AND TWENTY-ONE

                In the professional snooker tournament final with two players of the greatest ever age difference between them, Steve Davis was one - who was his opponent?

                Edit: And in which year?

                Half a point for player, half a point for the year
                John Dunning in 1984 ?

                • The Doctor and kellie went for Ding,
                  But Ding, not being right, got them done in;
                  abextra put unn in Ding,
                  Which was enough to win,
                  Meaning she has won with Dunning.

                  Congratulations, abextra! The 26-year-old Steve Davis defeated John Dunning, some 30 years and 126 days Davis's senior, in the final of the 1984 Yamaha Organs International Masters.

                    Nice easy one. Shaun Murphy begins the defence of his Malta Cup but isn't the number one seed. Basically who was the last defending champion not to be seeded first?

                          That was a funny tournament (I think it was that one) because there were actually three finalists!

                          There was a triangular final between the three of them, i.e. (I presume) each playing the other. I believe the other was Dave Martin, who I think was regarded as being in second place.

                            3 finalists?! Interesting! I didn't know that - which is probably a good thing, as I'm not sure how I would have worded the question if I had!

                                Are we looking for the last defending champion of any professional snooker tournament not to be seeded first, or must it be the Malta Cup (or any ranking tournament)?
