  • Yes, correct Davis_Greatest! Also in the right order.
Well, this one was only 23 minutes harder than the previous question.

Anyone to volunteer to update the table please?

I have to lock the front door!

ps. Is rule 2 still intact? as it says one can only answer again after someone else has given an answer. (see message 1).

    • Who shall be awarded the points if this is the rule?

      • Actually you sir!

The first answer D_G posted was incomplete. The next answer by the same member can only be given when another member has had a try. Therefore the second answer by D_G was not valid (sorry sir) and as you gave the correct one, point to you.

Not sure if it got forgotten or if it is still intact.

Incidentally, it only says you must wait for someone else to post, not necessarily to answer.

              ROUND TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY

This year's China Open, which is in progress now, is unusual in what respect concerning the names of the players?

                  ROUND TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY-ONE

What is the highest break ever made in the first frame of the World Championship at the Crucible.

To clarify, this means the first frame of the first session of each year's championship. Either table can count, even if technically one frame finished first. So there are 62 frames to consider: the opening frame on each table, each year.

A fully correct answer will contain the break, the player who made it and the year.

                    • Congratulations attilahun. Yes, Peter Ebdon's 127 break when he opened his defence of the title in 2003 is the only century made at the Crucible in the opening frame of the tournament. The next highest is Dott's 98 clearance in 2006, against John Parrott.

                      ROUND TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY-TWO

As noted above, Graeme Dott won the title in 2006 having played on the opening morning. And it was not because he was the defending champion, who by custom opens the tournament.

                      My question is this, then:

Who was the first player to become Crucible champion, who had played in the first session of the championship, and who was the last before Graeme Dott in 2006?

This excludes the occasions when Davis and Hendry were defending champion and won the title again the following year.

A correct answer will give the name and year of the two occurrences.
