For what reason was Steve Davis fined £12,000 in 1988, equalling the then record WPBSA fine?
And which other player was fined £8,000 at the same event for the same reason?
Now that there are a few newcomers and the thread has been healthily revitalised, we shall have a quick reminder of the Rules:
1) You may post only one answer in a single message
2) After you have guessed, you must wait for another message (by someone else) to appear before your next guess.
3) You must wait for the current questionmaster to confirm the correct answer, and update the scoreboard, before starting the next question.
4) There are no tied positions on the scoreboard. If the winner of a round reaches a non-unique score, (s)he goes to the top of the people on that score.
ROUND TWO HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-THREE
I know we have done this before, but it must be at least two years ago.
Write down the names of five players who have appeared at the Crucible, so that you have used every letter of the alphabet at least once.
For the avoidance of doubt:
* Use first name and surname, e.g. Stephen Hendry;
* "appeared" means played in the main event, not a commentator or lady player or referee!

Stephen Hendry won his first world title in 1990 when he was 21 years and 106 days old.
How old was he, when he won the 1995, 1996 and 1999 titles ( years and days ).

That is almost perfect. The only problem is in 1995 when he was 26 and 107 days old.
But, i will award you the point.
