2009 Shanghai Masters Predict the Qualifiers Champion
"If anybody can knock these three balls in, this man can." David Taylor, 11 January 1982, as Steve Davis prepared to pot the blue, in making the first 147 break on television.
Congratulations Dan. Over a month after my birthday, a correct answer to my birthday special! Two points to you, sir!
Anyone know who he was playing?
Steve Davis was 36 or 37 behind with one red left. He evidently miscalculated the score as he proceeded to clear up. Ray Edmonds commented, "You don't think he's made a mistake, Clive, and forgotten he needs a snooker?"
Clive responded, "No. I think he'll pot green and brown and snooker on the blue behind the black." Pause as Davis pots the brown; "...Although the way he's played that, I'm not so sure."
In the end Davis potted the pink and Len Ganley, the referee, pointed out the difference in score.

I think it's time to abandon unanswered questions and start a new one...
ROUND THREE HUNDRED AND THIRTY-FIVE
As we know, the date clash between the League and Bahrain has meant that three top-16 players have not entered. This means that three players, ranked 17-19, appear as seeds.
My question is:
What was the last tournament in which a non-member of the top-16 was seeded to the last-32 of a ranking tournament?
Please name the tournament and the player concerned.
