I believe this happened to Paul Wykes in the World Championship qualifiers (final round I believe) against Dominic Dale in fairly recent times, 2002ish?

He lost the frame on the Three Misses rule, without a ball having been potted and therefore the score in the frame was 12-0 to Dale.

I see no definitive response to my answer to Q344 (above, on the previous page).

Let me clarify:

They reached a Crucible final, AND, the same year, their opponent in an earlier round had made a 147 against him.

So O'Sullivan and Carter DO NOT COUNT, because neither had a 147 made against him earlier in the tournament.
