Ok - pretty easy question from me then:

I'm thinking of a player. He lost ALL his opening matches in the 1998/1999 season.

Once you think you know the name of the player...

Divide the date of birth (e.g. 1974) by the highest ever ranking (e.g. 21) and then times the outcome by this person's highest ever professional break (e.g. 145).
Then divide the answer by the amount of letters in the name of the person who knocked him out of the 1995/1996 Worlds.
Finally, times this number by the difference in frame score when he was knocked out of the 1998/1999 China Cup.

Hmm, I think chasmmi's thinking of Alain Robidoux in that second attempt, but according to snooker.org he won three matches in 98/99, two in the Welsh and one in Thailand. He didn't win a match in 97/98 though, a typo maybe?

I actually can't find anyone who lost all of their openers in 98/99, although I haven't dug deep into the qualifying rounds yet.
