Are you thinking that Matthew Stevens is the son of Kirk? Afraid not.

      • This one was a bit tricky. To the best of my memory (which isnt very great) I can't recall any father and son who have played snooker to such a high standard. Some nephews, like Silvino Francisco-Peter Francisco and Horace Lindrum-Walter Lindrum, but no fathers-sons.

Oh well! And before you ask, David Gray is not the son of Jimmy White (not even with Ian Black being the mother).

          • Just because of the family heritage I am going to guess that either Horaces Lindrums father or his son made a quarter final.

            • There have been a few Fred Lindrums and also a Walter. But Horace was the nephew of Walter, as far as I know and Lindrum wasn't his name at birth. He changed it from Morrell to his relative's name/mother's family name.

              • It wasn't the Lindrums...

                  • I don't recall the elder Foulds reaching a final but I can think of no one else to guess!

So I'll say Geoff Foulds and his son Neal.

Yeah, quarter, that's what I meant! I know that neither of them got to a final!

Congratulations, Cyril! It was Peter Mans, and his son Pierre.

The Statman, if you can demonstrate that Geoff Foulds and son Neal reached the quarter finals, you can have a point too.
