    ROUND ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY-ONE

I was watching the 2004 masters final last week. Name a well known sportsman attending this final. As a member of the audience

    Integrity code 101998

    • Jack Russell?
You play a long slow deadweight red to a corner pocket. As it approaches the pocket, a kamikaze woodlouse crawls out from under the cushion and makes its way across the table, conflicting with the path of the red precisely at the point the red gets there. The red, needless to say, veers off course, and the future of the woodlouse is uncertain. - The Statman

      • I knew someone would come with Jack Russell, but to my knowledge he attended the last Masters and the one in 2005. The integrity code also does not suit him, unless he retired cricket that particular month and year.

        • Prince Naseem Hamed

Good friend of Ronnie O'Sullivan's, I think.

          • No sir, its not the prince

            • Okay, how about Ronnie O'Sullivan? He's famous. And I believe he attended the event...

              • No, its not one of The Soave tricks. Not Paul Hunter (I would not dare) either or any other snooker player.

                • Okay, I'll have to think again.

Incidentally, you'd never catch murdock referring to himself in the third person...

                    • Gary Lineker?

                      Comment

                      • You are mixing up Monsieur Lineker with another Masters, at Augusta which he does attend every year now.

You are getting lukewarm though. Same sport as Mr. Lineker.

Clue: His arena is around 10 miles from The Wembley arena.

                          • Congratulations Valderie. John Terry did indeed visit The Masters Final 2004. 101998 being the month and year he made his debut in Chelsea I. You know your footie as well as your snooker.

                            • Hurray! I remember reading an article about him when he said he liked watching snooker. Thrilled to have a point again after the one I had one the old boards was confiscated for some reason lol.

                              • ROUND ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY-TWO

On the day that we see Ding hoping to beat Ronnie in the Masters final, my question to you is this:

Name all previous instances where a player has reached the Masters final having played in the wildcard round (not necessarily being a wildcard himself).

The first post correctly identifying the player and year of each occasion will win.
