    Hey mate.

    Ill start off with 3?

Free ball (As the last red) then yellow as the nominated colour then the yellow again as clearing the colours.

i dont think roy is right as if you took yellow as a free ball for the last red you could pot yellow(free ball) then yellow(nominated colour) you would then have to pot the last red with a colour.
so i would say 2 last red with yellow as nominated colour then yellow when clearing the colours.

If you're potting the yellow as a free ball (a red) this assumes there is still a red on the table, meaning if you then take yellow as the colour you'll then be taking the last red.

I think twice in a row is maximum.

The problem with that is, if the free-ball yellow is on the last red, then potting the yellow as the nominated colour, you can't then go straight to the colours clearance because the last red is still there!

You can get round this, though, but calling yellow as the free-ball on the last red, and pot both the free-ball AND the last red in the same shot. Then take the yellow as the nominated colour, and THEN the colours clearance – which does give you the yellow ball potted in three consecutive shots.

(Could be the free-ball with any number of reds left on the table, as long as you pot the free-ball yellow and all remaining reds in that first shot.)

Your scenario is correct but youve only potted 2 yellows in a row like that whereas my theory youve potted 3 in a row which is more as the original thread asked.

roy i think you are wrong isnt it?

because to qualify the yellow as a free ball (equivalent to a red), there would have to be a red on the table. therefore you can legally only pot 2 yellows in a row because after that you would have to pot red.

So, what if the yellow and the last red are a direct plant – the red goes straight into the hole and the yellow goes round the table and flukes into another pocket.

The RED has gone in before the YELLOW, meaning that the yellow has been potted three times in succession!

                            Stuff your prize, where's mine
