        Colour Blindness

When I used to play Snooker years ago my club decided to do away with ordinary light bulbs and replace them with 2x8ft flourescent tubes. The result was devastating for two of our members. Both of them suffered mild colour blindness, and when playing a frame under flourescents they would find it very difficult to differenciate between red/brown , brown/green.
After much deliberation we decided to return to the old 3x100 watt bulbs.
I am wondering with these new style over table lighting systems which are fitted with flourescents, does the same problem arise?
