by doing a 147, but counting each red as 2 points.

I suppose you're thinking of making a 155 which levels the scores, and then potting the re-spot first shot.

But if that's the case, I'm afraid it is a 155 break followed by a 7 break, because the cue-ball will be picked up and played from the D.

Yes you are quite right, it would be the case in a team match where the frame scores are 6/5 and one team is 155 behind on aggregate, it would then mean a re-spotted black after a 155 break, highly unlikely admittedly but just tried to get a few grey cells working at this quite time I was hoping to have people guessing for a while but never mind, well done.

You can score 162 if you get 7 points for the foul of your opponent, then free ball with black and then maximum. But does it count as a break?

so, if statmans quite right then its a 155 break followed by a 7 break, so, you cant get a break of 162 then. agree?

i can get a break of 345 if i add 9 of my breaks together.

Hi abextra. That would be a 7-point foul followed by a break of 155 (assuming that by "free ball with black and then maximum" you mean these occur in the same visit - this is really just a "16-red maximum"). It would not be a break of 162. It is impossible to get a break above 155.

You've lost me, semih. You're adding your 9 highest ever breaks together? How do you add eight ones and a five and come up with 345?

I think you're right, semih - I was getting confused with my own 9 recent highest breaks...
