Who did Mark Williams beat to start his 48 winning first round ranking matches and who was the person he beat to end the winning streak and which tournaments and what was the scoreline in both matches
Ronnie O' Sullivan seven times the record breaking Snooker Master

I don't know who he beat to start the sequence, nor who he beat at the end.

But I do remember who beat him to put an end to the sequence. It was Fergal O'Brien in the British Open (or perhaps the Grand Prix but I think it was the British Open) in the autumn of 2004. Was it 5-3?

The sequence ended when Fergal O'Brien beat him in the first round of the 2003 UK Championship 9-7 .....

Ah when Fergal wore the famous bright yellow waistcoat hehe.

I'm gonna say the scoreline 5-2, because he beat Michael Holt in the 2003 British Open, 5-2.

          The Masters a great event
          The Final a marvellous match

Is it Neal Foulds in the 98/99 season Welsh Open?

I think he beat Jimmy Michie 9-3 in the 1999 UK championship
for his first of the 48 successive first-round wins and Knocked out
Michael Holt 5-2 in the 2003 British Open for his last.

Also, the player who stopped his sequence of first-round wins
was Fergal O`brien (9-7) in the 2003 UK championship.
