  • snooker dictoids

can anybody work out these snooker dictoids i made up whilst at work. For example 0(zero)=N o H o W T H, would be, 0(zero)= Number of Hairs on Willie Thornes Head. Lower case letters in the dictoid denote smaller insignificant words such as...if,on,and,a,the etc.
Below are 10 more, although all are a bit more serious than the example. Some are fairly easy, some a little more obscure, but all involve snooker. First to post all 10 or most correct, wins.........nothing. Good luck

    1. 1 = R i a S M

    2. CT = F O E W C

    3. 36 = N o B P i a M

    4. MT = F W R a t W C

    5. 2 = C i a C B

    6. tMM = N R N

    7. 6 = P o a S T

    8. 15 = N o R a S o F

    9. SD = M t F T M

    10. 32 = P a t S o a W C

Some of those are quite difficult...but ok,think I've got a few of them, but some of them are wild guesses..., and some I just don't know :

      1. 1= Referee in a Snooker Match

      2. Cliff Thorburn= First Overseas Ever World Champion ?

      3. 36= Number of Balls Potted in a Maximum

      4. Michaela Tabb = First Woman Referee at the World Championship

      5. 2= Colours in a Century Break ? (if you only use black and red?)

      6. (no idea)

      7. 6= Pockets on a Snooker Table

      8. 15= Number of Reds at Start of Frame

      9. Steve Davis= (something) ?

      10. 32= Players at the Start of a World Championship

EDIT: P.S. It's almost 2am and I've used up all my brain power. Time to go to bed (and get a life,possibly....)

            2. Cliff Thorburn= First Overseas Ever World Champion ?

First Overseas Embassy World Champion *
You play a long slow deadweight red to a corner pocket. As it approaches the pocket, a kamikaze woodlouse crawls out from under the cushion and makes its way across the table, conflicting with the path of the red precisely at the point the red gets there. The red, needless to say, veers off course, and the future of the woodlouse is uncertain. - The Statman

Yes, really impressive Miss S, if i was wearing a hat id take it off to you. when i posted these i looked back over them and tried to view them from the perspective of someone who didnt know the answers, and realised how tough they were, so again, youve done an excellent job.
All are correct bar number 2, which was remedied by mitsuko (First Overseas Embassy World Champion) although your answer was close enough, Number 6 (the Melbourne Machine=Neil Robertsons Nickname), number 9 (Steve Davis=Made the First Televised Maximum), which were answered correctly by Austrian Girl and Lindea respectively. So well done guys.
Which only leaves number 6, which i must admit is probably the toughest of the bunch, so heres a clue.... CE,DT,WT,JV.
