  • Snooker vs. Pool - specifically one pocket

Hey all, American here. I haven't played much snooker but I've always recognized how snooker is a "cut above" pool in countless ways - requires more focus, more precision, and nothing competes with the runs. Having said that, this video of a simple run of 8, to me in my humble opinion, is on par with a 147. Thoughts? Evan Lunda vs. Roberto Gomez - US Open 1P Final. Edited for time!

Well I clicked your link but I was half way through rolling a cigarette at the beginning, so I missed the text explanation and spent the rest of the video wondering what on Earth I was watching 😀

But yeah, now I get it. All balls have to go into the same pocket. Nice clearance, but I know nothing about the rule set. Is it really all that rare?

Great question. Yes in one pocket each players gets a single pocket to score 8 balls first. Yes this is extremely rare given the ball layout. In this case, Evan was down 0-7. 99.9999% of the time even the best player would not complete the out when balls are out of play at the top of the table.
