I've heard that the Malta Cup will be on next year early March.

I heard back in July that they were trying to get Malta on so I would not be too surprised.

I guess we will just have to wait and see. I quite liked the Malta Cup so wouldn't be disappointed if it is the case..

I wasn't a big fan of Malta Cup, but at least it was an incomparable tournament to Bahrain.. But still, it would be better if they brought Germany back..

NO tournament can be compared to the one in Bahrain! That event was so strange.... The organisers probably feel they lost face entirely. They shouldn't feel that way.

They say their king is a great fan of the sport. You can rule over a country but you can't make your subjects come to a snooker event. Goes to show how relative absolute power can be! :snooker:

Absolutely so, but it seems to me that no one will be able to put the picture (money, sponsors & venue) together here right now. The crowd (myself included) would be happy to attend though.

At least I would like the new event held somewhere where people attend, unlike Bahrain last year.

Germany would guarantee sell-out crowds if past exhibitions are anything to go by.

The exhibitions & Pro-AMs like PHC are a huge success here, no doubt. But it takes more to establish a main tour event. First of all, money. And every attempt since mid '90 have failed to put that together so far. I still hope though

The point im making is that no matter how small the event was the German crowd would pack out the venue. Thats the difference between Germany and Bahrain.
