    Hah well remembered

I'd say yes but I know that I'll probably give in and watch it anyway.

Really am disappointed in this decision, it's nothing to do with Jimmy himself at all, I just think it sends out the wrong message for the sport really. Needs to look to the future and at the young players like Liang who are progressing and should be showcased in events like this as opposed to those who have had their day in the sun and frankly are not the force that they once were.

Obviously I can see inevitable arguments about bringing the crowd in and perhaps my point of view is idealistic and not commercial, but there you go.

Liang will get his chance people, first everyone goes on about Jimmy being such a great player and being such a legend and that they want him big in the big events, and now he is, and people are arguing over it. Trust me, Wenbo is a good enough player to make it there on his own strength one day.
You're spot on, let's give it to J. Parrott next year and to D. Mountjoy year after that!

        no maybe...
And Barry wouldn't want to upset him by saying he's changed the decision

Oh I don't know, I was just doing my guesswork Btw, wasn't yesterday the day when Barry had to be appointed a chairman? So this was announced today, so I guess he should have known who's going to get it before it actually hit the public's eyes.

I just hope that now the decision is taken Jimmy will put up a good show. Seeing him hammered would do him and the game no favour!

Yes tough opponent, plus with the overwhelming support he is likely to recieve from his legion of fans, i just wonder if it will all be too much, especially against the like's of such a tenacious opponent such as Mark King..

Fan support can not only press you down but also give you wings, just like Red Bull There's nothing to lose for Jimmy, only his pride, I guess. I hope he will be up for a good match, whatever outcome will be.

Barry Hearn, who was confirmed as WPBSA chairman on Wednesday, added: “Jimmy is one of Britain’s great sporting superstars. He has attracted vast crowds all across the world, but nowhere more than Wembley, where the fans regard him as one of their own. He’ll pack the place out and the atmosphere will be sizzling. There was no doubt in my mind that he is the man to take up the wild card challenge.
Robbo Unbeatable in ranking finals 6 out of 6

                        I think its great news........

And remember causing this debate when i suggested he should have the wildcard ages ago........

Taking everthing into consideration surely you can't begrudge the whirlwind another trip out at wembley ............whatever the reasons.......

But it is the season of goodwill...........lets be pleased for Jimmy & i for one will look forward to seeing him & wish him all the best......

The only thing that could make it any better is if he puts in a good performance & shows some of the old whirlwind magic...........that i would love to see.....

Yes, just read the article on World Snooker...

So, the new chairman starts with a major disgrace.

Wenbo has surely been the best player coming through the qualifiers... in most of the frames I watched on 110sport he was scoring heavily, playing decent snooker.

Is Jimmy really going to put up a similar display?

I don't know if anyone has suggested this already BUT what if its true about Ronnie O'Sullivan going into the celebrity BB house and Hearn knows this, then he can always give Ronnies place to Wenbo??

My guess is that Ronnie will play the Masters but stranger things have happened!

Come on Jimmy fans........help me out here !

I surely can't be the only one thats pleased for him........

Come on guys he's one of the greats, any other players mentioned who could have got it will get there themsleves on merit anyway, so i still can't really see the problem with it.......it is a Wild Card afterall, with no set criteria it can be anything.......thats the idea of it..........
