I don't want to be a killjoy, but I'll wait and see a bit before I believe this news. There has been talk about a ranker here since the last one in Frankfurt 1997. Nothing ever happened, though

Given the costs (some 1 Mio EUR) and the lack of sponsors - even in good economical climate, leave alone crisis -, it would be allmost impossible to put on stage without massive support from the WSPBA itself. It would be next to a miracle, if Hearn could make that happen.

Would love to see that dream coming true

This will be great for snooker! The more tournaments the better, as far as I'm concerned. Now if only Mr Hearn could see his way to putting an event on in Belfast again..

Well, we still don't know what form will next season's ranking events take. Maybe they will be shorter than now (qualifiers 3-4 days and 7-8 days of last 32) and the costs of running an event will be much smaller. Anyway, I've also heard about February and Berlin, so hopefully it will take place. And certainly would be nice to see Malta back as well...

That would be great excuse to go to Berlin. I hear it is a nice city and there is a direct overnight train from Vienna

I'm afraid we cheered too early. Yesterday "Dragonstars" (the guys who organise the PHC and a lot of exhibitions) issued a note that says, that nothing is final yet. They had talks with the WSA and others to outline their plans and everything. But there are no fixed dates, not booked venues... I try to translate the article and post it here.

Its actually a great city to have a few drinks and puke into an train in front of your teacher the next day
Anyway, sorry for answering to this thread, but this is one of the best news so far this year. I'd buy all tickets and spend the whole week there if possible.
Are there any news? I'd look for them on my own but I dont know where to look for.^^
