What's interesting is that the referee replaces the cue ball in the 'D' even though it has not left the bed of the table - the crux of the discussion last year when Graeme Dott used his fist to stop the white going in a pocket and Mark Selby was then penalised for picking it up.

You'e got to love the playful look on Alan chamberlain's face as he gives Ronnie the avuncular warning about ungentlemanly conduct. Chamberlain is class.


Regarding the original link posted with David Taylor and Patsy Fagan, I can't understand why the referee didn't just say 'frame conceded' and award it to Taylor.
Isn't that the normal interpretation of a player deliberately molesting a ball?
Fagan couldn't have had many complaints after such an unseemly show of petulance.

And was the referee correct to replace all the balls? It was hardly a 'miss' The frame should have been taken as conceded, i bet Taylor was fuming, even more so when he eventually lost the match!

Personally i think Ronnie just makes himself look a right plonker, and after being warned he should have been made to concede the frame and make an apology to his fellow professional and the referee

I don't like Ronnie, but Michael continued deliberately not to have some table time, but to put Ronnie off the rhytm. I mean, c'mon, 90 points the difference and he still caried on Pathetic!
