  • Ssb - o'sullivan 'living on a boat'

According to the Daily Mirror, Ronnie O'Sullivan has been living on a houseboat for the last week.

He told the newspaper: "In Sheffield during the World Championship I was staying near a marina and decided to get one. I spent a week sussing it all out, and even went down to Chelsea. The one I have got is like a floating apartment.

"I love it. I have had it a week, and not been home. It's very calming, and they are relatively cheap. I can chill, sit outside, watch the football and I'm out of the traffic which I can't stand.

"Being on the water appeals to me, and a bit of privacy and being away from the rat-race.

"Also it is the basic living aspect of it. I have a car but I have got rid of a lot of the luxuries I had. I have gone back to basics.

"I've probably gone off my head, haven't I? I have still got my house, and now the boat, and the kids can come and stay with me.

"I am a single parent now, and the kids are my main focus."

        haha!!

its not really a boat though, more like a yacht.
what a frustrating, yet addictive game this is....

Good idea. Seems to make him happy so why not. I would suggest an alligator as a pet/guard to his new home

Nice one, hope the media leave the guy alone. If he's happy that's all that matters.

If it's anything like what was in the marina it's a houseboat, not a yatch...
but whatever! Truth is Ronnie is fed up being beaten by Mark Selby who sways on the shot and makes him sea-sick (isn't that ungentlemanly conduct? hum...). He's decided to get used and immune to it ... hence the boat Beware Jester, you won't laugh next season!

Ronnie is that technically brilliant he doesn't need a table at home.
He knows what hes doing and he knows how he does it! Genius!

some would say he's such a genius he could make a 147 even on his boat in a force 10 gale even if misscuehamburg's pet alligator was snapping at his heels

I stayed in the same hotel as Ronnie in Sheffield and the boats looked appealing in the sunshine.
I also stayed there in March when the water was frozen, which put me off a little!

Ronnie is not the only one fed up with Selby's cueing motion. It must be so irritating for a perfectionist to sit and watch such a technically erroneous player. But then again, as long as the balls are going in, there is no problem for Jester

I really think such a change in his life will do good for his nerves.
                            All the way Mark J!!
