Just pleased to see the players taking a little responsibility for the future of the game by turning out to vote, that is very unusual.

So, if we take last week out of the equation, we're now exactly where we expected to be for the past couple of months.

I suppose I am mildly optimistic about the future, although the next seven months look pretty sad, with only two major events before the new year.

But at least we can now stop obsessing about this, with the Wuxi Classic starting tomorrow.

I agree with most of the comments and congratulations to Barry for having his proposals approved by a majority of the pro players, albeit 29 opposed and among them would be Hendry and Ebdon.

Now for my really important question to anyone who was at the EGM. Exactly what did Nic Barrow say and do that brought forth the 'clinically insane' comment on the SnookerScene blog???

I've sent him an email asking the same question but I suspect he won't get around to answering it as he's on the road.

This wasn't vote for or against Davison. His proposal wasn't being voted on at all. It was for or against Hearns plan.

yes its a big mistake thinking the 29 voted for davison .

davison could have easily lost the vote 40-24 or won it 33-31 what happened today had nothing to do with davison proposal but possibly and only possible his no show cost him the chance to even get a EGM for his proposal.

bit late for that isn't it? The players don't own the game any more so how can they vote for someone else to run it - or am I missing something?!

so in the next EGM they propose Davison and 51% of voting is down to Barry Hearn alone.

Barry owns 51% of World Snooker Holdings which owns the commercial rights to professional snooker.

The players still own 100% of WPBSA, which allows them to control the board of WPBSA, and any other aspects of their business

No he wasn't. But he may have voted by proxy

LOL, he just made a fool of himself that's all, comparing Barry's buy out detail to mining oil wells in your back garden.

Everyone was wondering what the hell he was going on about. LMAO behind him. He looks about 12 years of age, which made it look worse
