He wouldn't need work permits for any of the events I don't think. Even for China it's just a VISA. I think players only need work permits when they come to UK to "work" for whole season, for instance the Chinese and Thai players based over here.

Luca already had an invite into the World Open in Glasgow as one of the juniors.
Even if he doesn't get an official place this season I can't see any reason why he shouldn't get the one by one invites to the events and at 15 he's perfectly eligible now to enter the secondary(qualifying) events like PTC, EPTC and Qualifying School.

I heard the EBSA is asking for an exception to get him on the main tour, anyone know if this is likely or when we'll hear more of this?

Is there a rational reason behind not letting younger than 16 on the Main tour? I mean, if they're good enough, why not?
If it wasn't for this rule, Luca could have had two years of Main tour experience already...I hope he isn't too frustrated about it...

i think there really must be bounderies some at that age aren't mature enough to handle whats to come and it will be far far tougher than anything he has experienced so far. but i think he is mature enough and quite possibly concession could have been agreed with Luca.

I don't think he needs to rush. In fact, it could work out better for him if he doesn't become a pro for another year........ It's fact that many players turn pro and don't perform in their first year (even Neil Robertson) but the new PTC events should be a good thing. Why not 'learn' his trade against all the pro's in these events without the added pressure of trying to keep a pro-status!! Let's face it, at 15 it's not going to hurt him not earning mega money!! This is why I like the PTC idea. The 'pro-game' is such a huge step up from the amateur game and this offers valueable experience.

How about he finishes school first ! 16 is young enough to turn pro , plus if he plays in a few of the mentioned events it won't come as a major culture shock when he does turn pro . Good luck to him . The game always needs new faces .
Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

I don't know when we will heard more about it but it is true that the EBSA asking for an exception. Luca also want to be professional and think he will get wild cards for the main tour next year.

It 's indeed mentioned in the Flamish newspapers that he is likely to get wild cards for the main tour. This would be the second exception, after Shaun murphy. Anyway he won't move to England, he still prefers to live in belgium, the distance shouldn't be a problem.
I saw that going differently in my mind

Anyone care to offer a link to BEST of BRECEL vids?
I have a number of people who have NO IDEA how good he is and should take a look.
So far the ones I've seen have been his home practice sessions which are great ...
but are then any good competition ones out there?

                            CHEERS!

The poise on his breakoff... safety play... avoiding tempting attempts for a pot to
lay 3 snookers-in-a-row before beginning his run on a long red to the corner then ...
smack the pack off the blue... WOW!
This is EXACTLY what I've been talking about to fellow players.
                                Luca is the REAL DEAL.
Thank you so much for the link mate!
Tim, You have made me and many others very happy!
